About Me

I’m a retired high school Computer Science teacher with a prior career in IT as a programmer and senior systems analyst. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Technical Management, and have over 12 years of industry experience.

After stepping away from IT to raise my family, I earned a second master’s degree—in teaching—and transitioned into education. I taught elementary school for eight years, where I founded our “Coding and Computer Science Club” for students in grades 3–5. I then spent seven years teaching high school Computer Science, sparking students’ passion for coding, helping them develop their debugging and problem-solving skills, and celebrating their creativity.

Now retired from full-time teaching, I focus on tutoring high school students in Computer Science, but I'm also open to working with adult learners, early college students, and new CS teachers. My approach is supportive, patient, and grounded in both real-world technical experience and years in the classroom. Whether you're exploring Computer Science for the first time, aiming to grow your skills, or seeking mentorship as a new teacher, I’m here to help learners thrive.
